Our Commitment
DH Waste Management is committed to reducing waste sent to landfill and maximising recycling wherever possible.
We aim to operate responsibly whilst minimising our environmental impact.
Waste Hierarchy
We follow the Waste Hierarchy wherever practical:
- Prevention
- Reuse
- Recycling
- Recovery
- Disposal
Responsible Disposal
All waste collected is taken to authorised waste transfer and recycling facilities.
Where possible we seek to maximise the recovery of recyclable materials including:
- Metal
- Cardboard
- Paper
- Timber
- Plastics
- Green waste
- Aggregates
Licensed Operations
We operate as a registered Upper Tier Waste Carrier and comply with all applicable environmental legislation.
POPs Waste
Items classified as Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), including many upholstered furniture items, are handled separately in accordance with current Environment Agency guidance.
Carbon Reduction
We continually seek to reduce emissions through:
- Efficient route planning
- Well-maintained vehicles
- Reducing unnecessary journeys
- Recycling wherever possible
Staff Training
Employees receive ongoing training regarding:
- Environmental responsibilities
- Waste segregation
- Safe handling
- Duty of Care requirements
